On 21 November, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1963 - The first ever Doctor Who press conference was held to launch the new show. All four lead actors and David Whitaker attended the event at BBC Langham.
- 1963 - Radio Times published an article announcing the debut of Doctor Who. This was the first Doctor Who-related article ever published.
- 1966 - Location filming for The Highlanders concluded at Frensham Ponds. (TCH 9)

- 1999 - The Big Finish audio story Red Dawn was recorded at the Nu Groove Studios.
- 2001 - The Big Finish audio story Excelis Dawns was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2005 - The Big Finish audio story The Kingmaker was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2017 - Big Finish announced the casting of Patsy Kensit for Kingdom of Lies.
- 2020 - Doctor Who: Lockdown! hosted a tweetalong of The Pilot.
