Behind the scenes

The pride flag is a symbol of the LGBTQ+ community. The version that uses the colours of the rainbow is typically considered to be the default design, that represents the community as a whole.

Alternate pride flags that use different colour combinations to represent more specific parts of the community also exist. While these alternate flags have yet to appear in any official sources, they have appeared in various pieces of fanart and other images shared by the Official Doctor Who Twitter under the #FanArtFriday.
