A camera phone was a type of mobile phone popular in the early 21st century. It was invented sometime after the 1960s.

Mickey Smith had one, and used it in 2006 to take a picture of a member of the Slitheen family while it was incapacitated by its electrified compression field collar. He sent this picture to Rose Tyler's phone and she showed it to the Ninth Doctor. (TV: World War Three)

Rory Williams used his camera phone to take pictures of Prisoner Zero, who was manifesting himself as one of his coma patients. He tried to use it as proof to Dr Ramsden, but she dismissed it, telling him it might be wise for him to take some time off. The Eleventh Doctor later used it to write a computer virus that broadcast the number zero across the Earth, and planned to show the Atraxi pictures of all of Prisoner Zero's forms before the prisoner took Amy Pond's. (TV: The Eleventh Hour) Rory later used the same phone to take a picture of Amy in Venice, before they were forced to run off at the sound of a loud, high-pitched scream. (TV: The Vampires of Venice)

Amy Pond had also had one, and used it in 1969 to take a picture of a Silent in the White House bathroom. Soon afterwards, Canton Delaware used it to video a Silents, getting it to order others to "kill us all on sight". (TV: Day of the Moon)

Clara Oswald also had one, and used it to take a picture of Angie and Artie Maitland on the Spacey Zoomer Ride in Hedgewick's World of Wonders. (TV: Nightmare in Silver)

A camera phone was used by a young woman in Mabel's Diner during Miracle Day, who recognised Oswald Danes in the restaurant and used it to take his photo. (TV: Dead of Night)
