Smallpiece was a friend of Strax who often drank copious amounts of alcohol. Neither Vastra nor Jenny Flint liked him and they did not believe his stories. He saw a ghostly apparition of Kenny Lambeth. (AUDIO: The Ghosts of Greenwich)
He owned an emporium which Strax took Henry Gordon Jago. He often supplied Vastra with under the counter merchandise which were often alien. He later tried to get one of them back from Paternoster Row. Jenny caught him in the act but Strax locked them both in the scullery. (AUDIO: Merry Christmas, Mr Jago)
