Proper Dave

Proper Dave was a human pilot and explorer in the 51st century.
With Strackman Lux, Other Dave, River Song, Anita and Miss Evangelista, he went to the Library to discover why more than four thousand people had vanished there leaving a message a century earlier. He was killed by the Vashta Nerada, although his consciousness survived for a brief time as a data ghost.
Afterward, the Vashta Nerada animated his skeleton inside the suit. His data ghost continued to utter Dave's final words, "Hey, who turned out the lights?" in an infinite loop. (TV: Silence in the Library) He was returned to life in the computer core after CAL and Doctor Moon had saved him and the rest of the team. (TV: Forest of the Dead)
