January was a month in which a number of events important to the production of Doctor Who and its spin-offs occurred.
- 1975 - Location and Ealing filming for Genesis of the Daleks took place. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Fourth Doctor)
- 2005 - Christopher Eccleston indicated to Russell T Davies that he would be leaving the role of the Doctor.
- 2006 - Post-production company The Mill worked on Tooth and Claw. Casting for The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit took place. (DWMSE 14)
- 2011 - Audio commentary for the DVD release of Colony in Space was recorded.
- 2018 - The South Africa production block of The Ghost Monument and Rosa under director Mark Tonderai and with the Doctor Who crew as well as Out of Africa Entertainment.
