By one account, one TARDIS control room was used by the First Doctor, appearing to contain two yellow pillars in its centre. (PROSE: Jikū Daikettō! [+]Loading...{"release year":"1980","1":"Doctor Who in an Exciting Adventure with the Daleks (novelisation)","2":"Jikū Daikettō!"}) Other accounts indicated it to have a different control room at this time. The control room appeared to be in use when the First Doctor encountered Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright on Barnes Common and they, along with the Doctor's granddaughter Susan, wound up in an adventure on Skaro.
