Jeremy Young appeared in two Doctor Who stories: as Kal in An Unearthly Child and Gordon Lowery in Mission to the Unknown.

From 1961 to 1976, he was married to Kate O'Mara, who played the Rani in the later seasons of the original series of Doctor Who. He has the distinction of being the first actor to portray a villain in Doctor Who, and coincidentally, was wed to another person who played a prominent villain on the show.

His numerous other television appearances include roles in Armchair Theatre, Crossroads, No Hiding Place, The Avengers, Adam Adamant Lives!, The Wednesday Play, Softly, Softly, The Saint, Department S, Z-Cars, Softly, Softly: Taskforce, Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), Doomwatch, Up Pompeii!, Dixon of Dock Green, Coronation Street, The Sweeney, The New Avengers, Space: 1999, Van der Valk, The Onedin Line and The Bill.
