History
In July 1966, Major Green chose Battersea Power Station as one of the strategically located manufacturing sites for the War Machines. (TV: The War Machines)
Circa 1999, the Battersea Power Station was purchased and demolished by Ashley Chapel, who built the Millennium Hall in its place. Following the Great Kingdom crisis, the Millennium Hall faded from existence and the Power Station again took its place. (PROSE: Millennial Rites)
By the time of the 22nd century Dalek invasion of Earth, it had been converted into a nuclear power plant. This was much to the surprise of Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright, who came from the year 1963. It was visibly different from the power station that they knew, as two of the chimneys were damaged. (TV: The Dalek Invasion of Earth)
Parallel Earth
On a parallel Earth, the station no longer served its original purpose. Cybus Industries used it as a Cyber-conversion centre and base for the Cybermen created by John Lumic. The factory was converted from the inside. Deep inside its structure, thousands of Cyber Conversion machines worked, cutting out the brains of London's population, 'upgrading' them. It was here that Mr Crane, one of John Lumic's high-ranking employees, and his men created the first Cybermen before Lumic's arrival.
Notable areas included Deepcold 6 and Cyber-Control.
When London was taken over by the Cybermen, John Lumic took full authority over his factory. Shortly after, the Tenth Doctor and his allies entered the factory and were led to Cyber Control. There, they met the upgraded John Lumic, the Cyber-Controller, who was a little different from a standard Cyberman.
The Doctor used Rose Tyler's superphone to send a cancellation code to the emotional inhibitors of the Cybermen, with the mental trauma making them insane and destroying them all. As the entire building was engulfed in flames, the Doctor and his friends made a lucky escape in the Cybus Industries Zeppelin. (TV: The Age of Steel)
