M4

The M4 was a major motorway in the United Kingdom, linking London with South Wales.

On her wedding day, 24 December 2007, Donna Noble got into a taxi which she hoped would take her back to the church, but instead it turned onto the M4 and headed along the Chiswick Flyover. The Doctor, in his TARDIS, was able to rescue her. (TV: The Runaway Bride).

Leon Harris had once been found crawling along the central reservation of the M4 after having escaped from Mercy Hill Care Home. (PROSE: The House That Jack Built)

In 2009, Torchwood Three were chasing aliens down the M4. (AUDIO: Submission)

Gwen Cooper drove along the M4 towards the Severn Bridge when on her way from Cardiff to East Grinstead to interview Clement McDonald in 2009. (TV: Children of Earth: Day One) The following day, Gwen and her husband Rhys travelled to London along the M4 in the back of a potato lorry. (TV: Children of Earth: Day Two).

Two years later, Rex Matheson drove towards South Wales on the M4 whilst trying to find Gwen and Rhys, and was not impressed about the tolls on the Severn Bridge. (TV: The New World).
