Mercy Hill Care Home
Mercy Hill Care Home was a care home in Cardiff. Alexander Martin was a resident there.
The care home featured a recreational lawn with an oak tree in the centre and a rhododendron bush, from where residents could see across a neighbouring field.
The home was not a cheerful place, and even the staff would sigh their way through the day, gazing into the middle distance as if waiting for death.
Beyond Alexander Martin, residents at the home included Trudy Topham and Leon Harris. Nurse Sellers worked there as a carer.
Jack Harkness visited the home in 2009, pretending to be a doctor, in order to offer Alexander the job of Torchwood Three's medical officer. Despite the challenge of getting out of Mercy Hill, Alexander accepted. (PROSE: The House That Jack Built)
