Khyber Pass

The Khyber Pass was a location in Northern Pakistan, the roads from which led to Torkhum on the Afghanistan border.

On multiple occasions, the Seventh Doctor made reference to a curry restaurant he had once visited within the Khyber Pass. (TV: Ghost Light; AUDIO: House of Blue Fire)

The Eighth Doctor claimed that he once rode a magic carpet over the Khyber Pass. (AUDIO: Death in Blackpool)

In early 2005, Howard Pitfield, who worked outside the United Kingdom from 1975 to 1984, wrote to the conspiracy website Doctor Who?, claiming to have witnessed the Ninth Doctor working at the Gates of the Khyber Pass during a time when Pakistan was not yet part of the Commonwealth. (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man?)
