Pinstripes were a pattern of very thin stripes of any colour running in parallel often found in fashion.

The Tenth Doctor wore suits of pinstripe done on dark brown and light blue, (TV: The Christmas Invasion-The End of Time, The Day of the Doctor) or navy and crimson. (TV: Smith and Jones-Dreamland)

The War Doctor wore a cream and ebony pinstripe shirt. (PROSE: Engines of War; TV: The Name of the Doctor, The Day of the Doctor)
