On 31 October, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1964 - David Whitaker's contract ended, precipitating the first formal transition between script editors. Dennis Spooner's tenure thus began.
- 1969 - Location filming for Spearhead from Space took place. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Third Doctor)
- 1970 - Location filming for The Mind of Evil was remounted. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Third Doctor)
- 1972 - Studio filming for Frontier in Space took place at BBC Television Centre studio 3. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Third Doctor)
- 1975 - Location filming for The Seeds of Doom took place. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Fourth Doctor)
- 1984 - Location filming for The Mark of the Rani took place. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Sixth Doctor)
- 2005 - Rewrites for The Christmas Invasion known as a "goldenrod revision", of New Earth known as a "salmon revision", and of The Age of Steel and Doomsday known as "pink rewrites" were made. These amended Invasion's pre-titles, the introduction to the Sycorax, the Tenth Doctor choosing his outfit, the TARDIS arriving at Lady Cassandra's party, the Doctor discovering Pete Tyler and Rose Tyler being captured, the scene where the aforementioned trio climb a ladder to escape, the Daleks and the Cybermen comparing the size of their forces, Pete and Jackie embracing inside Torchwood Tower, the Doctor realising the nature of the Genesis Ark, "Rose's return from the other Torchwood" and the Daleks and the Cybermen being sucked into the Void. - 2007 - Whilst filming was underway on Partners in Crime, actor Howard Attfield died, requiring the scripts to be rewritten and eventually resulting in the casting of Bernard Cribbins as Donna's grandfather.
- 2008 - Big Finish's audio anthology The Company of Friends was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2013 - Big Finish's audio adaptation of the novel The Romance of Crime was recorded at Audio Sorcery.
- 2017 - The Big Finish audio story The Helliax Rift was recorded at the Moat Studios.

- Big Finish's The Paternoster Gang audio anthology Heritage 3 was recorded.
- The Big Finish audio story After the Daleks was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2020 - Doctor Who: Lockdown! hosted a tweetalong of Blink.
