By one account, the Invisible ran along a groove next to the plane of reality that humans occupied, on a different frequency to what they could perceive; (PROSE: The Shining Man [+]Loading...["The Shining Man (novel)"]) another account similarly documented that with the Sidhe being able to perceive eleven dimensions instead of just four, their realm, which could overlap with any given part of the Earth's surface, was generally "out of phase" with human perception, even though it was part of the same space-time continuum as the human "world", as opposed to being a parallel universe of its own. One account suggested that the Toymaker's realm of "shifting illusions" may have been, or been akin to, "Faeryland", and followed the same rules. (GAME: "Who Changed History?" [+]Part of The Gunfighters, Loading...{"namedpart":"Who Changed History?","1":"The Gunfighters (game)"}) As such, when the First Doctor, after escaping from the Toymaker, impulsively ate one of the hard sweets he'd gotten from the Toymaker's servant Cyril, (TV: The Celestial Toymaker [+]Loading...["The Celestial Toymaker (TV story)"]) he may have broken one of the key rules which "any visitor to Faeryland kn[e]w", putting himself into the Toymaker's power all over again.
