Brandon Mews was a London housing development bought by Igrix in 1966 as part of his plan to alter the course of Earth's history so that the "horrible" 1960s tower block housing estates no longer existed. Before Igrix changed history, the development was located on what was supposed to be the site of the Powell Estate. The Ninth Doctor set history back on track by using his sonic screwdriver to activate the nearby diggers and make them vandalise the site, forcing the builders to start all again and build the Powell Estate.
