Dalek Ambassador

The Dalek Ambassador was a unique and singularly dangerous Dalek.

Although actually "dedicated to the Dalek cause of universal conquest and extermination", being no less ruthless and xenophobic than the average Dalek, the Ambassador was "highly intelligent and manipulative", with their "unyielding malevolence" cloaked by "their strategic prowess and ability to influence others". The Dalek Ambassador hada "menacing voice" and an "iconic appearance" based on the "classic Dalek design" (GAME: Worlds Apart [+]Loading...["Worlds Apart (video game)"]) based on the Golden Emperor's original casing (COMIC: Genesis of Evil [+]Loading...["Genesis of Evil (comic story)"]) which was also mimicked by the Emperor of the Restoration's identical battle armour. Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

The "Dalek Ambassador" looks identical to the Emperor of the Restoration and is depicted on the card with the Dalek Time Squad — which is to say that a piece of stock artwork of the Emperor leading the Time Squad was used, due to the Dalek Ambassador card having been introduced in December 2022 as a replacement for the earlier "This is a Peace Mission!" card, which more logically the Time Squad due to being based on a scene from The Enemy of My Enemy [+]Loading...["The Enemy of My Enemy (audio story)"]. Indeed, the Dalek Ambassador card itself was removed from Worlds Apart in the November 2023 update and replaced with a visually identical card billed as simply "the Dalek Time Squad", admist several other varyingly major rebrands to existing cards. Nevertheless, the Ambassador card was still seen within UNIT's visual interface in the later promotional minisode Incoming Transmission - February Update Video [+]Loading...["Incoming Transmission - February Update Video (webcast)"].

The Dalek Ambassador is unique among known Dalek characters in being referred to with the singular they in their official blurb.
