Liberation of Paris

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
This topic might have a better name.

City of Death and Trust use "Liberation of Paris" to refer to the 1944 World War II event. As its use on this page is conjectural, it should be renamed to give priority to a page about the WWII Liberation. A different name for this page should be chosen, or at the very lead a dab term applied, such as Liberation of Paris (Airships), Liberation of Paris (Pete's World) or Liberation of Paris (Preacher-Cyberman War).

Talk about it here.

"Liberation of Paris" is a title based upon conjecture.

Check the behind the scenes section, the revision history and discussion page for additional comments on this article's title.

The Liberation of Paris was battle in the Preacher-Cyberman War.

Origins[[edit] | [edit source]]

After Ricky Smith sent a message to the readers of Defending the Earth! who lived in the Doctor's universe, telling them that they needed to find a code on the Internet to take down Cybus Industries, (WC: Secret Code) the readers went to a chatroom and talk with an individual going by the alias "ChatGuest1", and helped repair the radio needed to tune into a special wavelength to find the next clue to guide them across the Internet on a scavenger hunt, eventually finding the code "binary9" in the Cybus Industries Staff Intranet. (GAME: Cybus Spy) This was the same code encrypted within the Lumic Family Database which the Tenth Doctor and Mickey Smith used to find another code which they used to deactivate the Cybermen's emotional inhibitors, leading to the defeat of the Cyber-Controller and the destruction of the Cybus factory in London. (TV: The Age of Steel) Mickey then sent a message to the readers. (WC: Secret Code)

After the destruction of London's Cyber-factory, Mickey chose to stay behind in Pete's World to help the Preachers fight the Cybermen, taking the place of his deceased counterpart Ricky. Realising that factories were spread across the Earth, Mickey asked Jake Simmonds if there was a factory in Paris. When Jake answered in the affirmative, Mickey decided that they would liberate Paris. (TV: The Age of Steel)

Battle[[edit] | [edit source]]

Guided by Mickey Smith, a armed zeppelin took to the sky above Paris where it retrieved human civilians as well as scientists, who made repairs to the ship. Cybermen were also present in the city and failed to shoot the zeppelin down. Finally, the zeppelin arrived at the Cybus factory, which it destroyed with an EMP. (GAME: Airships)
