Tabon was a Scientific Master on Luxor. He made it his mission to create the Perfect One and experimented on his fellows in his pursuit of doing so and, when he came to his senses, his Derivitrons completed his work against his will.
Wracked with guilt, Tabon sealed himself in a mausoleum. He was eventually awoken by Ian Chesterton and led him and the First Doctor into the complex's atomic magazines and found that the Perfect One had reactivated them. He helped restore power to the TARDIS and sacrificed himself so that the Doctor, Ian, Susan Foreman and Barbara Wright could escape. (AUDIO: The Masters of Luxor)
