US dollar

The US dollar was a form of currency used in the United States from at least the 19th century into the early 21st century.

Gunfighters in the Wild West were paid in dollars. In 1881, Ike Clanton payed Seth Harper a hundred dollars to help him kill Doc Holliday, then told his brother Pa to hire Johnny Ringo for five hundred dollars. A poster offered a 2,000 dollar reward for Holliday. (TV: The Gunfighters)
