Publisher's summary
The TARDIS materialises in a pitch-dark tunnel, where the Doctor, Amy and Rory stumble on the dead body of a soldier. Questioned by his superior officer, Colonel Bowe, they learn that they’re inside a British nuclear bunker, in the middle of an atomic war – in 1982.

The Doctor, Amy and Rory soon learn that something else is lurking in the shadows. Something deadly...

Notes
- This is read by Arthur Darvill, who plays Rory Williams in the revived series of Doctor Who.
- The story is also available as a download from the AudioGo website.
- This is the first of two Doctor Who audio dramas released in 2012 to feature the anachronistic outbreak of World War III in the 1980s. The second is AUDIO: Protect and Survive.
However the Nuclear war here is just in the mind of the characters.
- Coincidentally, Issue #1 of Steed and Mrs. Peel by Boom! Comics, published in September 2012 and based upon The Avengers created by Sydney Newman, also begins with the heroes trapped in a bunker following an apparent nuclear attack that shouldn't have happened at that time.
Continuity
- The Doctor mentions clockwork droids under his bed. (TV: The Girl in the Fireplace)
