Christmas Special

Christmas Specials of Doctor Who have aired every year on Christmas Day since the series was revived by BBC Wales in 2005.

Previously, the only episode of Doctor Who to premiere on Christmas Day was "The Feast of Steven", the seventh part of the 1966 serial The Daleks' Master Plan. Though not a Christmas special, the fact that it was Christmas was acknowledged via a breaking of the fourth wall at the end of the episode.
