Private Upton was a UNIT officer at the Wenely Moor nuclear station. After giving reports about the soldiers in the caves, he witnessed the kidnapping of the Third Doctor by Morka and K'to. Morka killed Upton with his third eye. Upton's body was discovered by Hawkins. (Doctor Who And The Silurians)
