The second instalment of Doctor Who Extra was attached to the second episode of Series 8, Into the Dalek. It was released on both BBC iPlayer online and the BBC Red Button on television following the episode's broadcast on BBC One.

The production crew reveals how they filmed the scene in which Clara and Journey Blue are climbing up a rope while Gretchen Carlisle sacrificed herself to the Dalek antibodies.
The scene where a student asks Danny Pink if he had ever killed a man was also put under the microscope.
