Fleming was a student at Coal Hill School in the 2010s. He was on the Coal Hill Cadet Squad led by Danny Pink. He asked Danny if he had ever killed anyone, and if he had ever killed anyone who wasn't a soldier. (TV: Into the Dalek)

Though Bradley Ford is credited as Fleming in the closing credits of Dark Water, he does not actually appear. It is believed that he was in a scene that was cut very late in the editing process.
