Pacific Ocean
The Pacific Ocean was an Earth ocean that bordered North America, South America, Asia and Australia. The island of Salutua was located in the Pacific, as was the port of Honolulu. (PROSE: The Eye of the Giant)
In 1770, the First Doctor, Susan Foreman, Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright met Captain James Cook aboard the Endeavour while it was sailing the Pacific Ocean. Shortly afterwards, the TARDIS was lost at sea but was eventually recovered. (AUDIO: The Transit of Venus)

In World War II, after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbour on 7 December 1941, (PROSE: Only Connect) the American forces were faced with the challenge of crossing the Pacific to reach Japan. Numerous islands occupied by thousands of Japanese soldiers willing to die for their Emperor stood in their path. Both American and Japanese fighter pilots encountered Light-beings in the war in the Pacific. (PROSE: Endgame)
In the 1970s, the Third Doctor briefly materialised on the bottom of the Pacific Ocean while attempting to go to Bombay. (PROSE: Island of Death)
