Series 3 (SJA)
The Third Series of The Sarah Jane Adventures will consist of six stories of two episodes each. It will air on the channel CBBC in the autumn of 2009. K-9 Mark IV will appear in six of the twelve episodes and David Tennant will appear as the Tenth Doctor in two of the twelve episodes.
According to the BBC, the season will begin airing on 15 October 2009.[1] In a change of broadcast format, two episodes will air each week, on Thursday and Friday.[2]

Rumours and Announcements
- The Doctor will appear in two of the episodes(one story). This story will also feature K9
- On 26 May 2009, the BBC Press Office issued an announcement also confirming the appearance, including publicity photos. Comments by Russell T Davies also reveal that the storyline may involve Sarah Jane getting married: "It's more than just a cameo from the Tenth Doctor! He's a proper part of the story." He also added that the two-parter is "extraordinary, wild and powerfully moving," cryptically adding, "let's just say that the wedding of Sarah Jane will be a day for everyone to remember!".[4]
- K-9 will appear in 6 of the 12 episodes of the series. While this has yet to be confirmed, the BBC announcement regarding Tennant did confirm that K-9 appears in at least his two episodes.
- The announcement also mentions that the Judoon are to appear but it's not known if this is in the same episode as the Doctor.
- The series will air on BBC One. This Rumour derives from some of the media reports on Tennant's appearance but is not mentioned in the 26 May press released. [source needed]

- One title for an episode has been named as "The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith". This episode will feature the Tenth Doctor. [5]
- SFX Magazine confirmed that the Slitheen's cousins the Blathereen will be in the finale.[additional sources needed]
- Information on the first episode has been revealed that a reptilian character called Androvax, a Veil. He's under arrest when one of the Judoon's life carriers crashes on Earth, so a Judoon's hunting down his prisoner who's escaped.[source needed]
- Episode names for Series 3 were listed in DWM Issue 412.
Novelisations
As of September 2009 only one story from this season has been announced for adaptation as a novelisation.
