The Trial of a Time Machine was the first story in the audio anthology The Seventh Doctor: The New Adventures: Volume One. It was written by Andy Lane and featured Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor, Yasmin Bannerman as Roz Forrester and Travis Oliver as Chris Cwej.
Publisher's summary
After colliding with another time-ship in the vortex, the TARDIS materialises on Thrantas where it is arrested and forced to face trial. While Chris and Roz investigate the crime scene, the Doctor must defend his most loyal companion against a society where guilt has no meaning.
