Michael Troughton is the second son of Second Doctor actor Patrick Troughton as well as the younger brother of David Troughton and the uncle of Harry Melling. He played Albert Smithe in the 2014 Christmas special Last Christmas.

He has also voiced several characters for the Big Finish Doctor Who audio stories and spin-offs.
