The Sky Ray Space Raiders were an elite band of special duty space commandos based on Earth. Their leader was Commander Clay.
When the Daleks invaded Zaos, the Second Doctor sent a radio distress call to the Space Raiders, and they quickly arrived. After escaping a Dalek ambush, they accompanied the Doctor on his journey to the region inhabited by the Astrobeetles and made contact with them, convincing them to assist in destroying the Daleks. After the Daleks were defeated, the Space Raiders and the Zaons assisted the Doctor in repairing his damaged TARDIS. (PROSE: Daleks Invade Zaos)
