Emma Peel is one of the assistants of John Steed in The Avengers. Diana Rigg played her in the TV series and Olivia Poulet plays her for Big Finish Productions.

Leela was conceived by writer Chris Boucher as a mixture of Emma Peel and Leila Khaled.
