The Doctor Who History Tour Number Nine was, as the name suggested, the ninth story in The History Tour series by Tim Quinn and Dicky Howett. The ninth part was an examination of some of the various connections throughout history.

- The Doctor says the evolution of arms always comes full circle. He also notes the same is true for aviation.
- The Doctor says the one with the power of fire and heat always lords it over the others just like the gas and electric companies do in Peri's time.
- According to the Doctor, the invention of the wheel marked the extinction of the dinosaur and the hedgehog.
- The Doctor says the art of healing used to be a hit-and-miss affair because they'd cut off an arm and a leg at the drop of a hat and in Peri's present day they charge an arm and a leg before doing anything.
- The Doctor says man has evolved a long way from its ape ancestors and notes that some have evolved better than others, using his previous incarnations as examples.
- The Doctor tells Peri that families used to gather around cave paintings for entertainment and they observe a family in the present watch a documentary about cave paintings on their television.
Notes
- Peri is bald in this story, resembling her appearance before her death and possession by Kiv in Mindwarp. No mention of it is made in the narrative, however, so should be put down to an odd design choice on the part of Dicky Howett. This decision persisted for the next story but her hair had returned by the time of the The (Final) Doctor Who History Tour.
