The Doctor Who History Tour No. 8 (comic story)
From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
The Doctor Who History Tour No. 8 was, as the name suggested, the eighth story in The History Tour series by Tim Quinn and Dicky Howett. The eighth part covered Regency era England. This story was especially notable for the Third Doctor briefly taking over the history tour from the Sixth Doctor as this period was his "speciality".

Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]
- According to the Doctor, upon ascending the throne King George declared that his reign would be dedicated to pleasure and true to his word, his first act was to cancel Crossroads on the TV.
- According to the Doctor, Norman, a Dalek beautician, fed up with the warring of his race made a fortune bringing the beauty spot to Regency England.
- The Regency was also a time for duelling over women. Two men fight with swords over Peri.
- Gambling was also a way of life during the period. The Doctor and Peri observe two men betting on how far they can throw their respective mothers. Cruel sports were also all the rage.
- The Doctor says he made a pretty penny in the dog fights. This was because he used K9's weaponry.
Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- This is the only story of The History Tour to not feature the Sixth Doctor. Before the events of this story, he has apparently already contacted his third incarnation to ask him to teach Peri about the period leading to the circumstances depicted at its start.
Continuity[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The Eleventh Doctor would later contact his previous incarnations to help him in some way. (AUDIO: The Time Machine, COMIC: Endgame)
- The Ninth, (TV: Dalek) Tenth, (TV: Evolution of the Daleks, Journey's End) and Twelfth Doctors have all also met Daleks that realised the evil of their race. (TV: Into the Dalek, GAME: The Doctor and the Dalek)
