Crackerjack was a BBC programme that aired on Fridays at 5 to 5, immediately prior to Doctor Who. As a result of the show, on one occasion workers had just two minutes to turn a Dalek City backcloth into an Asian landscape in time for the new adventure. (NOTVALID: Doctor Who? 162)

Behind the scenes

  • The BBC comedy show Crackerjack had more than one intersection with Doctor Who in the real world. Most notably, they produced Hallo My Dalek, a whole mock-episode of Doctor Who starring a different time-travelling renegade, Doctor Why.
