BBC Choice was a digital-only channel which launched in 1998. It was promoted by a Doctor Who-themed ident which was broadcast on BBC One, then subsequently BBC Two and Four. It starred Pauline Quirke as "the Doctor" trapped in a Dalek casing.

It broadcast The Take: 35 Years of Doctor Who, a week-long celebration of Doctor Who, from 22 to 27 November 1998.

Ultimately, BBC Choice was replaced with BBC Three.
