Germania LD was one of many Known Worlds where Nazi Germany won World War II. In this world, the Nazis had conquered Great Britain; Kent, Ashforde, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, and Coventry had fallen, while York, Manchester, Leeds, and Liverpool were still resisting the German advances. Rear-Admiral Conolly was honoured by the resistance as "leader of Free Britain", although he resided in Nova Scotia.
The President of the United States was on the verge of signing a non-aggression pact with the Nazis. The Germans then used an pyrobolus atomicus to destroy Hull and threatened to destroy another city every day, starting with Coventry. Upon this, the British forces unconditionally surrendered.
