Maison Chapuis was a chalet located on the shores of Lake Geneva. At the time of June 1816, Mary and Percy Shelley were staying there. Percy would often retire there to write. (TV: The Haunting of Villa Diodati)

Maison Chapuis was an actual house in Montalègre on Lake Geneva, rented by the Shelleys during the summer of 1816.
