Airport Commander Norman was in charge of London Airport.

In September 2069, he oversaw the maiden flight of the Fireflash Mk II from London to New York. He increased security for the occasion in an attempt to avoid a repetition of the bomb plot which plagued the first voyage of the Fireflash Mk I. All appeared to be fine, however, as Norman reported that the airliner had left on schedule and had attained its cruising speed of Mach 7 within ten minutes of takeoff.
