A wedding present was a gift given at weddings.

The Third Doctor gave a Metebelis crystal to Jo Grant as a wedding present after she announced her engagement to Professor Clifford Jones. (TV: The Green Death)

For the wedding of Stuart Hoskins and Sarah Clark on 7 November 1987, Pete Tyler went to get a vase as a wedding present. However, he was killed by a car on Jordan Road before he could deliver the gift. (TV: Father's Day)
