On 8 July, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1966 - Episode one of The Smugglers was recorded at Riverside Studios 1. (TCH 8)
- 1967 - Episode two of The Tomb of the Cybermen was recorded at Lime Grove Studios D. (TCH 10)
- 2006 - Over the course of 7–8 July, filming on The Runaway Bride took place at (the new) Upper Boat Studios, mostly on set of the TARDIS. The climax to Doomsday, with David Tennant and Catherine Tate, was reshot for continuity. (REF: About Time 8)
- 2013 - Recording for Missing Persons took place at The Moat Studios.
- 2019 - Recording for the Gallifrey box set Time War: Volume Three took place.
- 2019 - Donna Noble: Kidnapped! was recorded at the Soundhouse.
- 2021 - Big Finish's Torchwood audio story The Great Sontaran War was recorded at Southea Studios and remotely.
- 2021 - Big Finish's Torchwood audio story The Red List was recorded.
