The Ninth Doctor vs the Cybermen (trailer)
The Ninth Doctor vs the Cybermen was a trailer for The Ninth Doctor Adventures produced by Big Finish Productions. It was published on 23 November 2021, the 58th anniversary of Doctor Who.
Though its primary function was to advertise Lost Warriors, the simultaneously-released third anthology in The Ninth Doctor Adventures range, it was also notable for being a licensed crossover with another television series. The trailer briefly featured the Mole, an International Rescue vehicle regularly seen in Thunderbirds, making it only the second ever onscreen crossover between the two programmes, after 1966's The Man from MI.5. The context of the Mole's appearance, as part of "the waste and detritus" from the Last Great Time War in "a junkyard stretching across eternity", was additionally significant because it implied the titular protagonists of Thunderbirds had played a role in the conflict and had sustained some significant damages. As of March 2022[update], no further release has continued this storyline.
