Misinformation

Misinformation was a form of distruthful information, often linked to cover-ups.

During the cleanup of Operation Mannequin, UNIT Capt Panos Karpidas hoped to use a combination of misinformation and exaggeration to "minimize exposure" of information about the mannequin attack, (PROSE: Operation Mannequin) and Major Jenny Maguire later suggested adding in misinformation to the UNIT website after it was discovered Mickey Smith was sharing sensitive information about UNIT on whoisdoctorwho.co.uk.
