Jenny Maguire had a mother. On 28 June 2006, (PROSE: Operation London [+]Loading...["Operation London (short story)"]) or as other accounts dated it, 6 March, (TV: Aliens of London [+]Loading...["Aliens of London (TV story)"], The Secret Lives of Monsters [+]Loading...["The Secret Lives of Monsters (short story)"], etc.) or even sometime prior to 26 May, (PROSE: Number Ten Pays Tribute to UNIT [+]Loading...["Number Ten Pays Tribute to UNIT (short story)"]) Major Jenny Maguire submitted an initial assessment of the crash of an alien craft into the River Thames on an operations board, mentioning the unhelpfulness of the government and how the craft was spotted on fifty-seven traffic cams. When a "space pig" was retrieved from the crashed ship, she told Corporal J Frinkstein to remain careful around it, despite its cute appearance, as it could've been hostile. She joked about releasing a squiddy thing from the stores onto the press.
Later that day, the government remained to be unhelpful, which Maguire believed was due to either them not wanting to contain the situation or simply not caring about it, though they did ask for a group of experts to be sent to No 10, including Frost and her team from Geneva. After Asquith Slitheen and Jocrassa Fel-Fotch Passameer-Day Slitheen killed all of the experts at Ten Downing Street via electrocution, directed from their ID cards, barring the Ninth Doctor, (TV: Aliens of London [+]Loading...["Aliens of London (TV story)"]) Major Maguire had to officially announce the deaths of the experts, including Frost and her Geneva EVA team, which saddened her. She had to speak to the UK-based families, and she stated that a proper statement and tribute would come soon. She was flummoxed at the destruction unleashed on that day, and Captain A. Frederick told her that the PM wanted to brief Major Maguire at the acting office in Westminster on the deaths of Frost and her team, and the involvement of the Doctor. After Sgt J Frinkstein shared details of an auction about something called "the Object", (PROSE: Object Auction [+]Loading...["Object Auction (short story)"]) a Dalek otherwise known by the name "Metaltron", (TV: Dalek [+]Loading...["Dalek (TV story)"], PROSE: The Secret Lives of Monsters [+]Loading...["The Secret Lives of Monsters (short story)"], Dalek [+]Loading...["Dalek (novelisation)"]) on an operations board, Major Maguire felt that it would be great for UNIT to acquire it, though this was unrealistic given its price, which kept raising whenever UNIT took interest, (PROSE: Object Auction [+]Loading...["Object Auction (short story)"]) as UNIT had been tracking it for years. On Christmas Day 2006, the Sycorax attempted to invade Earth. Their leader killed Major Blake, among others, with his death whip on the Sycorax spaceship.
