On 1 May, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1966 - Location filming for The Savages concluded at Callow Hill Sandpit. (TCH 8)
- 1968 - Pre-filming for The Dominators concluded on Ealing Studios Stage 2. (TCH 12)
- 1969 - David Whitaker was commissioned to write The Ambassadors of Death, then known as The Carriers of Death. Full scripts were requested nearly two months later.
- 1974 - The final studio recording session for Planet of the Spiders and for Jon Pertwee was held. Tom Baker, already in the midst of production of his first story, attended and filmed a regeneration sequence.
- 2012 - The Big Finish audio story The Wrong Doctors was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2014 - Recording for The Widow's Assassin took place at the Moat Studios.
- 2015 - Recording for The Forsaken took place at the Moat Studios.
- 2018 - Big Finish's The Companion Chronicles audio anthology The Second Doctor: Volume Two was recorded.
- 2019 - Big Finish announced the second series of The Lives of Captain Jack.
- 2020 - Big Finish's audio adaptation of the unproduced TV story The Doomsday Contract was recorded.
