Mindmitters were devices which allowed users project their thoughts via a headset directly onto a shared screen. This allowed users to overcome language barriers, and to share complex ideas effortlessly by producing visual representations of a user's thoughts. Multiple people could use mindmitters simultaneously, however, if their ideas were too rapid and complex for the machine to handle it could become overloaded and break.

Mindmitters were used by inmates at the SCAT-house on Justice Prime to develop new technologies. In 2501, the Ninth Doctor and Nesshalop used mindmitters to develop a method of using the Justicia star system as a gravitational centrifuge. (PROSE: The Monsters Inside)
