Babe Ruth

Babe Ruth, also known simply as the Babe, was a baseball player. At some point by his eleventh incarnation, the Doctor acquired a baseball with Ruth's signature on it which he kept in his pockets. Mae Callon, not caring about its significance, threw it at an oncoming hoard of Wanters. (PROSE: Shroud of Sorrow)

The Doctor watched the 1926 game in which the Babe hit three home runs. His picture was one of many players which covered the wall behind the bar at Mama's American Bar. (PROSE: Illegal Alien)

In Kettoo's memories of the Fifth Doctor's actions on Poytee, Peri called the Doctor "Babe Ruth" after he threw a cricket ball at a vehicle full of people firing weapons. (AUDIO: Urban Myths)

The Sixth Doctor said that Babe Ruth once told him to never get hide-bound by the rules. He also mentioned that the player planted a tree on Banyan Drive on Hawaii. (PROSE: Outsourcing)
