Luke Sullieman was a human archaeologist from Chasca Major who was taught by River Song for a time.

Biography

Early life

Luke Sullieman was born on Chasca Major and never went off-world, meaning that he was used to cities.

Wanting to be an archaeologist, he studied archaeology at university and was taught by visiting professor River Song. (AUDIO: Animal Instinct) He was interested in Old Earth, but never studied Christmas. (AUDIO: Carnival of Angels)

Adventures with River

For his final exam before graduation, Luke went with River to break into the tomb of a Chasca Minorian sun god whom they discovered was the Master, who initially assumed that Luke was the Doctor. He was left behind to distract security whilst River and the Master escaped to the Condor and later joined them in travelling to Chasca Minor to recover the Master's TARDIS and see the Great Ziggurat. He briefly became a Therian thanks to the ziggurat, but was restored by River using the Master's capacitor and they returned to Chasca Major having given the Therians the freedom to choose if they would like to do the same.

On the return journey, River told Luke that he had passed his exam with flying colours. (AUDIO: Animal Instinct) He graduated with a first, which River would later say she gave in "a moment of weakness".

Luke accompanied River in New York City, during the 1930s, when she went there to investigate the Weeping Angels. When Marty Stone came to them, he went investigating the coin he had and met Dean Cray, who recognised in him a "fellow" freak, and his employer, Miss Quirke, who invited him to join their freak circus. Luke refused. Later on, he proved instrumental in convincing Dean to betray Miss Quirke and help him and River to defeat the Angels, who had taken possession of a carnival in Coney Island. After that, River sent Luke back home together with Dean, while she remained there to face the Angels on her own. (AUDIO: Carnival of Angels)

Personality

This section's awfully stubby.

Please help by adding some more information.

Luke preferred learning from books until his adventure on Chasca Minor opened his eyes to adventure. (AUDIO: Animal Instinct) River described him as wonderful and blundering and told Marty Stone that he was a "pussycat" when one came to know him. (AUDIO: Carnival of Angels)

Appearance

Luke was blond. (AUDIO: Carnival of Angels) He wore a shirt, a tweed outfit and a deerstalker during his final exam. (AUDIO: Animal Instinct)
