Weakness

Historians who had been allowed access to the "Monster Vaults" of the databanks in the Doctor's TARDIS identified three major weaknesses of the Abzorbaloffs. Firstly, their greed was so great that that they often could not help blowing their cover by absorbing too many victims. Secondly, as they absorbed their victims they became mentally linked, enabling the victims to read the mind of their host. Lastly, the body of an Abzorbaloff was highly unstable and required an artificially generated limitation field to prevent it from reverting to a liquiform state. (PROSE: The Monster Vault)
