Mason Hotel was a 1962 film which Michael Brookhaven served as the uncredited supervising producer for. It was "remade" in 1998, where Brookhaven once again served as the uncredited supervising producer. Similar to The Long Coolth of Summer, the pair of movies represented Brookhaven manipulating the timeline for box office prominence. In this instance, Brookhaven sacrificed the reputations of everyone attached to the original 1998 "remake" in order to provide Alfred Hitchcock a finished script for the movie in 1962.
