A singing man was in a bathtub of the Camden flat of a war veteran in the Eleven-Day Empire when Little Sister Ceol visited to issue an eviction notice. He was singing a song from "Guy and Dolls". (PROSE: Now or Thereabouts)
The war veteran – in reality the amnesiac Eighth Doctor – had found the singing man in the bathtub a few minutes earlier. He had a crew-cut, a cheery smile, and a Northern accent, (NC: With All Awry) like the Ninth Doctor. (TV: Rose, et al.)
In contrast with the less corporeal war veteran, the singing man was "very real", and when Ceol explained the situation to him, he agreed to leave in exchange for a ride in her limousine to Earl's Court, (PROSE: Now or Thereabouts) where the Doctor's TARDIS was waiting. He brought with him Fitz Kreiner's leather jacket and the TARDIS key from the flat.
